Artistic
wood carvers and turners is a Durban based manufacturing company and
was established in 1972. Artistic has manufactured and supplied in the
past a wide range of wooden furniture for both home and business environment.
Prior to Artistic establishment as a company, the business then run
and owned by the late Mr. DAmend khan specialized in the reproduction
and hand carved period style furniture. Some 25 years ago artistic began
producing executive ranges of office furniture and chairs, and in 1974
this constituted 20% of the total production. Some ten years later the
situation had reversed and nearly 80% of the companys production

production was made up of office furniture. Today furniture requirement
for the business environment is our specialty, catering mainly for the
local markets with some exports to neighboring states, U.A.E and U.K.
The local markets are serviced mainly by Cecil Nurse and Waltons chains
and other Dealer networks in the major centers.

Artistic does not have a formal quality management such as ISO 9002.
However, I, L.A Khan, as Managing Director together with the management
staff and the entire production staff have committed ourselves to produce
and supply a quality product and services that will satisfy and exceed
the expectations of our customers.
